Project Overview
Our team develops content for and designs a collateral package for your business.
Our team develops content that conveys the important details of your business to your audience with a design that aligns with your brand. All assets are print-ready at the end of this project.
What to Expect
Our Communications and Graphic Design Teams collaborate to draft content for and design three pieces of collateral: a brochure, business cards, and a flyer.
The designed brochure is a branded, trifold document that acts as a primer to the overall business and can be used in most situations. It contains light information on your business’s elevator pitch, products or services, testimonials, and contact information. The final deliverable will be a print-ready, designed PDF.
The branded business card will include your name, business name, contact information, website, and a slogan or other business details, as appropriate. The final business card design will be an editable template.
The designed flyer is a one-page document that focuses on one topic. It can be a sales sheet that goes into technical detail about the company offerings and specific instructions on how to get started. Or it can promote an event, provide in-depth details about a new product or service, or perform a similar informative purpose. The final deliverable will be a print-ready PDF.
The final collateral package will be delivered in digital format; each piece will be ready to send via email and other digital avenues, and may need to be printed before use.
Performance
The collateral package contains everything you need to distribute at a local event or convention, which can increase overall success during and after the event by providing the details prospects need to make a decision about pursuing a purchase or other business decision.
Collateral packages can also help brick-and-mortar and local services businesses inform prospects and customers about what next steps they can take to take advantage of the business’s products or services.
Each piece of collateral within the package helps establish credibility, not only for your business as a whole but also for your role in the business. Each piece also showcases your branding and values in a subtle, yet distinguishable fashion, which can significantly enhance the perceived value of your offering and increase your brand awareness.
Additional Considerations
Consider the following as you begin this project. Our team is happy to collaborate with you on the best approach.
- Do you have specific uses in mind for the collateral pieces? E.g. a local event, industry convention, product or service overview, etc.
- Do you already have brochure and flyer content or content ideas prepared for this project?
- Do you have specific audience targets for the brochure?
- Do you have a specific purpose for the flyer, such as to promote a new offering or event, or to act as a sales sheet?
- Is there a specific question your customers often ask or a problem your customers often have that could be answered in the brochure or flyer?
- Do you need to update your current collateral pieces to match a rebrand or other updated branding initiative?
Project Phases
Our team will execute this project in defined phases and we will keep you updated on progress within each phase of development, giving you the ability to provide feedback, direction or collaborate with our team throughout every step of the process.
1) Content Strategy
During this initial phase, our Communications Team reviews your Member Profile and confirms the project details with you.
We also develop and present the strategic approach for the brochure content and flyer content. We ensure that the brochure content outline includes your business’s elevator pitch, products or services, and contact information, as well as testimonials, if appropriate.
We encourage you to give our team feedback during this phase.
2) Content Presentation
During the next phase, our Communications Team drafts the collateral package content, including the brochure content, business card content, and flyer content. Content is written according to your messaging guidelines.
If you provided our team with feedback during the previous phase, our team will address those requests in this phase.
The brochure’s front cover content is typically short, active, enticing, and clear to anyone. The business card content typically includes your name, business name, contact information, website, and slogan, or other business details. The flyer content typically focuses on one purpose. Each piece of content typically includes contact information, address and/or website, and a clear CTA.
Once the content is completed, our team reviews it, checking for flow, grammar, punctuation, and spelling accuracy. Then we present the drafts to you.
We encourage your feedback on the content before we move to the design phases of this project, but we can also make content changes during the design phases.
3) Design Strategy
During this phase, our Graphic Design Team reviews the Member Profile and confirms project details. We also develop the strategic approach for the design of each piece based on your business’s branding strategy.
4) Design Presentation
During this phase, our team will finalize the design of each collateral piece and review them for readability and even line breaks. Once reviewed, our team will present each piece to you.
5) Project Closure Plan
Once you have reviewed the collateral pieces, our team makes any requested updates, reviews each piece for readability, and finalizes each piece. Once completed, we present the final pieces and give you access to the files.
Our team provides you with details on how to edit the business card template. Alternatively, our team can edit it for you.
Our team can also recommend online printing services to you.
